Privacy Policy - the basics

Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It usually also includes a statement regarding the website’s commitment to protecting its visitors’ or customers’ privacy, and an explanation about the different mechanisms the website is implementing in order to protect privacy. 

 

Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location. 

What to include in the Privacy Policy

Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors and customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much, much more.

This Privacy Policy explains how **Inspiration Life Coaching Therapy** (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit **https://www.herinspirationcoaching.com/**, book services, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website and services.

 1) Scope + Important Note (Coaching, Not Therapy)
Our services are **coaching only**. We do not provide medical or mental health treatment through this website. Please do **not** submit sensitive medical information (e.g., diagnoses, treatment records) through our forms, chat, email, or booking notes.

 2) Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:

**A. Information you provide**
- Contact details (name, email, phone number)
- Booking details (appointment type, date/time, notes you choose to share)
- Communications (messages sent by phone, email, or through the website)
- Payment-related details needed to complete a transaction (handled by payment providers; see Section 5)

**B. Information collected automatically**
- Device and browser data (IP address, browser type, operating system)
- Usage data (pages viewed, clicks, referring/exit pages, approximate location)

4) Booking, Cancellations, and Refund-Related Communications
If you book with us, we may use your contact information to send booking confirmations, reminders, and service messages.

**Cancellation/Refund timing (service policy):**
- Cancellations must be made **at least 48 hours in advance** to receive a refund.
- If your session is scheduled for **Monday**, cancellations must be made **at least 72 hours in advance** when scheduled by **phone or email**.

(Refund processing time and method may depend on the payment provider used.)

5) Payments (Wix, PayPal, Zelle)
Payments may be made through **Wix Payments**, **PayPal**, and **Zelle**.
- We do **not** store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Payment transactions are processed by the provider you choose and are subject to that provider’s privacy practices and terms.

6) Sharing of Information
We may share information only as needed to operate our business, including with:
- **Wix** (website hosting, forms, bookings, and site features)
- **Payment providers** (Wix Payments, PayPal, Zelle) to process transactions
- **Video meeting providers** such as **Zoom** (to host online sessions)
- Service providers who help us run the site and business (e.g., email delivery, security, IT), under appropriate confidentiality obligations

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

7) Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep the site functioning
- Understand how visitors use the site and improve performance

(Female-Focused; No Minors)
Our services are designed primarily for the **female demographic**. We may also offer coaching for **couples** and occasional **group sessions** (e.g., seasonal/holiday sessions).

Our services are intended for **adults only**. We do **not** knowingly collect personal information from **minors**. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10) Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

11) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
